Young Alumni Advisory Council
THE COUNCIL HAS AS ITS PRINCIPAL MISSION:
- Act as a forum for young alumni and an advisory group to the Mississippi State University Alumni Association conveying the Young alumni perspective to the Association from a variety of backgrounds and locations which will assist the Association in engaging, informing, and serving MSU’s Young Alumni and advancing Mississippi State University.
- To provide volunteer leadership, advocacy, and generate funding to create, develop, and/or sponsor programs, services, and events in partnership with the MSU Alumni Association to serve MSU Young Alumni and friends and increase their interest in and support of Mississippi State University.
- Support current and future MSU students and the University through the endowment of scholarships and the development of other resources.
- To encourage Young alumni and friends to become active Alumni Association members through annual financial support of MSU, attending events, and volunteering on behalf of the University and Alumni Association and pursue leadership roles within the Alumni Association’s and University’s volunteer network.
- Promote the diversity of the MSU campus community and foster positive relationships between the University, Young Alumni, future alumni and friends. This will include recruiting and working with and through the Mississippi State University Alumni Recruiting Network (ARN).
- To assist the Alumni Association in achieving its mission of serving, involving, and informing our alumni, current and future students, and friends of the University.
